New little seascapes
It's the end of a busy week (which it always seems to be!) Thinking about a solo exhibition I'm having come easter time, I worked on these four little 20cm square seascapes based on my visit to Kippford last week. In my painting, I always try to keep it loose and energetic with my brushstrokes, or in this case the sweep of the palette knife. To me this seems to represent the landscape better - the energy of nature and the joy of witnessing that view - without "deadening" the painting.
